MAURICE — Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Valerie Fusilier Williams, 49, who died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Stanley Jawa, S.V.D.
Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Williams of Maurice, LA; three children, Britney and Travis Williams, both of Maurice, LA and Whitney Williams of Baton Rouge, LA; two grandchildren, Caydon and Kylon Martin of Maurice, LA; three brothers, Raymond Fusilier of Maurice, LA and his two children, Jakori and Jaidyn Fusilier of Carencro, LA, Michael Prejean of Maurice, LA and Rodney Delafose of Sugarland, TX; ten sisters, Selina (Larry) Rene’ of Swords, LA, Sylvia Felix of Maurice, LA, Theresa (Curtis) Plowden, Eva Austin, Brenda (Kevin) Birotte, April August and Amy August, all of Lafayette, LA, Linda Simien of Rayne, LA, Melanie Bell and Charlene Richard, both residents of Texas; father-in-law, Roosevelt Williams, Sr. and Mother-in-law, Vina Mae Williams, both of Maurice, LA; one brother-in-law, Roosevelt Williams, Jr. of Abbeville, LA; two sisters-in-law, Annette Thomas of Broussard, LA and Jeanette Grigsby of Opelousas, LA; three Godchildren, Nicholas (Lacey) Plowden of New Iberia, LA, Chelsea Freeman of New Orleans, LA, Kayla Richard of Lafayette, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, family members, friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Alice Fusilier; her sister, Glenda “Teena” Richard; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives, family members, friends and loved ones.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 7:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
