ABBEVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph E. Williams is scheduled for 12:00 noon Thursday, March 24, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. He will await the resurrection in St. Paul Cemetery. Father Greg Cormier will be the Celebrant.
Joseph E. Williams (77) a long time resident of Bonita, California passed away Thursday, March 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.
He leaves to cherish his memories, surviving family and friends, including his loving and devoted wife of 50 years; Betty J. Vallot-Williams of Bonita, CA; his forever loved children, Joseph Williams, Jr. of San Diego, CA; Debra Wilkinson of Pheonix, AZ; Karen La Juane Williams-Cormier (Harlan Dexter) of Las Vegas, NV; and Deon Michelle Williams (Quintin Prejean) of Lafayette, LA; his sister-in-law, Majorie Petry; ten Grandchildren, and many Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He joins in glory and rest with his parents, Edward Williams and Agnes Huntsberry Williams; three sisters, Wilda Robinson, Thelma Petry-Brown, and Geraldine Williams; and two brothers, James Petry, and Edward Williams.
